Beside and the water sports and boating activities, Cocoa Beach and the Space Coast have some great day trip options. From the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex to museums and zoo’s. There is lots of stuff to do in the area that will keep you busy and having fun.

Beach Parking

Cherie Down Park
Cherie Down Park, Cape Canaveral Beach

If you are just coming to the coast for the day beach parking can get pricey. Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral are essentially the same beach. About a 12 mile stretch of beach consisting of Cape Canaveral on the north end, Cocoa beach on the south. All the parking area’s in Cape Canaveral are FREE and many have handicap Accessible crossovers to the beach. If you can get a spot Cherie Down Park in Cape Canaveral is a great option. Cherie Down provides free parking, bathrooms and beach shower.

If you are going to choose Cocoa Beach keep in mind that all the end street parking areas are metered which you pay by app on your phone. The one free choice is Lori Wilson Park which does offer free parking, restrooms and beach showers.
